The Castle North Harbour (1992)

I watched upon the shore the breaking waves;
There rose, -----------
It seemed to me,
A host of phantoms, from their briny graves,
From out of the treacherous sea,
They said to me;
Into the haunts of peace,
Among waving weeds descend....
to the retreats of love,
where sufferings cease,
Annihilation only can give rest,
Come down; here is the end.

As over the greenish phantoms faintly gleamed,
The sunset on the deep,
To me,--------
The ocean in the twilight seemed,
A bed,....
For a quiet sleep,--
